About This Place

Seed Café, nestled within Friends House on bustling Euston Road, is a serene vegetarian gem that delights both locals and visitors seeking wholesome, plant-based fare in central London. Proudly serving an inspiring array of vegan and vegetarian dishes, this café and deli effortlessly blends nutritious ingredients with comforting, flavourful recipes that satisfy the soul as much as the palate.

Their breakfast offerings set the tone for a nourishing day—imagine a warm, creamy porridge lavishly topped with fresh fruit and nuts, or a golden toasted cheese and tomato croissant that perfectly balances melty richness and vibrant acidity. For those craving lighter fare, the fresh fruit parfait and vibrant granola bowl burst with natural sweetness and crunch.

Come lunchtime, Seed Café shines with its hearty and satisfying mains. The baked potato with melted cheese and beans offers a rustic, fulfilling experience; each bite delivers a comforting blend of warmth and flavour that lingers pleasantly. The soup of the day, served with fresh rolls, often charms guests with deep, seasonal tastes, while the chef’s special salad of the day provides a crisp and invigorating contrast, full of garden-fresh textures and colours.

As an indulgent treat, their beetroot cake is a must-try—a beautifully moist slice that balances earthy beetroot sweetness with subtle spices, crowned with delicate frosting that melts gently on the tongue. Pair it with one of their expertly brewed lattes, where smooth, velvety coffee notes mingle with just the right hint of cream to elevate your café experience.

The atmosphere at Seed Café is warm and inviting, reflecting a strong sense of community spirit and inclusivity. The spacious seating area, enhanced by an adjoining bookshop and kids’ corner, creates a welcoming environment where you can linger over your meal, read, or enjoy thoughtful conversation. Outside, a charming courtyard offers a peaceful refuge from the city’s pace—ideal for sipping coffee on sunny afternoons.

Customers consistently praise the café’s clear allergen labelling and respect for dietary preferences, making it a comfortable choice for those with gluten-free and vegan requirements. Friendly staff bring genuine warmth to the space, providing attentive service that complements the delicious food. While eco-conscious touches like wooden cutlery reflect a commitment to sustainability, the café’s ethos extends beyond food, supporting the Quakers’ mission of peace, social justice, and inclusion—a cause that resonates palpably in the welcoming atmosphere.

Whether you’re stopping by before a train journey from nearby Euston Station, meeting friends for a nourishing lunch, or simply craving a tranquil spot to unwind with cake and coffee, Seed Café promises an experience that nourishes both body and spirit with every bite.

Friendly staff and nice food I stopped by the cafe bookshop to pick up some white poppies and ended up grabbing a bite to eat. The wooden cutlery is a little small and my partner's spoon actually went flat in her soup but thankfully the food was delicious. I had a goats cheese quiche and a delicious beetroot cake.

This place is truly lovely, a peaceful place in the heart of London. Delicious food which is veggie or vegan, welcoming to all there are lots of different areas including two outside spaces, it's really well thought out. I really appreciated the sign about loud hand dryers for austic users. The toilets are also top notch
